German-funded cultural projects in Pakistan (Consulate General)
Further funding has been provided in November 2011 to the Pakistan Heritage Foundation for the Digitization of Karachi's paper heritage to save parts of the archive of Karachi Municipality including historic maps, photographs, etc. and for the establishment of an e-library.

Germany supports the Karachi Literature Festival 2012
German Consul General Karachi, Dr. Tilo Klinner, met with the festival director, Ms. Ameena Saiyid, M.D. Oxford University Press Pakistan, and presented a cheque amounting to Rs. 1.7 million for the support of the Karachi Literature Festival. The German Consulate General Karachi wishes the organizing team a successful festival!
Prominent Pakistani theater and television personality, Mr. Khaled Anam had been selected and invited by the Consulate General of Germany in Karachi to take part in the official Information Tour and visit the German Theatertreffen 2011 as representative from Pakistan. This official international theater meeting was held in Berlin/Germany in May 2011.

The German Consulate General Karachi supported the participation of Germany-based sitar player Ashraf Sharif Khan at the Tehzeeb Music Festival which took place on May 5+6, 2011 at the Arts Council Auditorium.

The CrossCulture Program of the German government invites Germans to do an internship in an Islamic country as well as young professionals from the Muslim world to gather practical experience in Germany. The selection of 11 Pakistani potential candidates was finalised at the German Consulate General Karachi in February 2011 and applications have been forwarded to the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifA) in Stuttgart/Germany for approval.
