Pakistani artist to participate in „Theatertreffen 2011“ in Berlin
Prominent Pakistani theater and television personality, Mr. Khaled Anam had been selected and invited by the Consulate General of Germany in Karachi to take part in the official Information Tour and visit the German Theatertreffen 2011 as representative from Pakistan.
This Information Tour (Visitors Program) of the Federal Republic of Germany at the Invitation of the Federal Foreign Office took place in Berlin from May 7 to 14, 2011.
In 2010 and in early 2011, six candidates were invited to the Federal Republic of Germany through this official Visitors Program and attended different events in the fields of German politics, history and culture, i.e. Information Tour „The Path Towards German Unity“ and „Rule of Law, Democracy & Civil Rights“, Frankfurt Book Fair, Berlinale and ArtForum Berlin.

Mr. Khaled Anam is a founding member of the GRIPS Theater Group Pakistan which was founded in 1982 at the behest of the Goethe-Institut Pakistan, the German Cultural Centre.
The Grips-Theater in Berlin, Germany is a well-known and well-respected German theater for children and youth.
Mr Anam is still a member of the GRIPS Theater Pakistan – the only children theater group in Pakistan - and has acted in all the plays done so far numbering 15. In addition, Mr. Anam has written and composed all the songs which are an integral part of the GRIPS plays. GRIPS Pakistan has done a number of shows for different organizations involved in child welfare and education across Pakistan.
Some of Mr. Anam's further accomplishments are:
* 28 years Experience working in Children’s Theater Production
* 5 years Experience in advertising
* 30 years experience in Writing and Composing Jingles
* 20 years experience in Producing Children’s specific TV Production
* 25 years Experience in Hosting different live and pre-recorded television shows
* Part of a core team responsible for translating and adapting over 100 Episodes of open sesame of CTW into Urdu namely ‘Khul ja Sim Sim’, and was solely responsible for translating and re-recording the songs of all Episodes
* over 1000 songs for Children
* over 350 shows for Children on topics, e.g. environment, morality, supporting rights and reorganization of special children
