Digitization of Karachi's paper heritage
November 2011: Further funding has been provided to the Pakistan Heritage Foundation for the Digitization of Karachi's paper heritage to save parts of the archive of Karachi Municipality including historic maps, photographs etc and for the establishment of an e-library.
For this purpose, German Consul General Dr. Tilo Klinner visited the Karachi Municipal Archives to meet Ms. Yasmeen Lari of the Pakistan Heritage Foundation and presented a cheque to her. Also present on the occasion was Mr. Muhammad Hussain Syed, Administrator of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
The project is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office's fund for culture preservation.
