(© German Consulate General Karachi) The CrossCulture Internships Programme of the German government invites Germans to do an internship in an Islamic country as well as young professionals from the Muslim world to gather practical experience in Germany. The selection of 11 Pakistani potential candidates was finalised at the German Consulate General Karachi in February 2011 and applications have been forwarded to the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifA) in Stuttgart/Germany for approval.

In 2010, out of hundreds of applicants from all predominantly Muslim countries, six candidates from Pakistan were amongst the selected - with two ladies from Karachi - for a participation in the CrossCulture Internships Programme which serves to provide cultural exchange between Germans and Muslims through internships.

The two ladies from Karachi, Ms Saman Jafri of Radio Station FM 107 and Ms Eraj Atiq of Women Media Center have returned and presented their reports to the German Consulate General Karachi. The final reports by the CrossCulture internees can be read by clicking on the respective links (see column on right side).
