Former Cultural Activities of the German Consulate in 2009/2010
On Nov. 27, 2010, the German Consulate General organised a musical concert with the German pianist Andreas Kern and the Pakistani guitar player Aamir Zaki and his band Spoonful.

On Nov. 24 and 25, the Head of the Cultural and Press department of the German Embassy Islamabad, Dr. Thomas Ditt, came for his first official visit to Karachi.

German Archeologist in Pakistan
The German archeologist, Dr. Ute Franke has worked at the excavating site Sohr Damb in Balochistan since 2001. During her last visit from Feb 2010 to April 2010, she and her team were cleaning, labelling and cataloguing the material which give highly interesting insight into the cultural period from 2000 BC in this area.
A dinner in honour of visiting German Archeological team of Dr. Ute Franke was hosted by the German Consul General, Dr. Christian Brecht at the Consulate General on 23 April 2010.

The Consulate General of Germany in Karachi organized a music concert by world renowned theremin player Carolina Eyck and her music ensemble on Saturday, 6 March 2010 in honour of Dr. Ruth Pfau, M.D., D.Sc. to celebrate 50 years of her dedicated services to those afflicted with leprosy and towards her contribution to the uplift of marginalized groups in Pakistan.
