Sports equipment for the Mescon Football Academy
On Saturday, 18 September 2010, the German Embassy handed over sports equipment to the Mescon Football Academy (MIFA) Islamabad, run by the Nigerian star striker and coach Emeka Aliewa. The academy in sector F-10 received new goal posts, nets, benches for the players and sets of shirts and trousers worth aorund 150,000 PKR.
The Sialkot based company Silver Star Group donated 50 footballs for MIFA.
Mahmood Shafqat, a Pakistani army football coach, who participated in the International Training Course for football coaches organized by the German Football Federation (DFB) in May 2010, was handed over a certificate.
Finally, a short training session was held with the boys.
