Cooperation with Children's Museum for Peace & Human Rights

(© German Consulate General Karachi) The Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Christian Brecht, and Mr. Zulfiqar Ali, Director Children's Museum for Peace & Human Rights (CMPHR) signed an agreement on May 4, 2010, for a financial contribution of Rs. 800,000.

The organisation CMPHR which is setting up a museum for children in the long run has been providing social education in schools by doing workshops, events, presentations and other activities on various themes since 1995.

CMPHR aims to contribute towards a socially just and stable society in Pakistan where children grow up as aware, active and participating citizens who are able and willing to make positive contributions to their communities.

This project is being funded by the Consulate General in the framework of its Micro-Project-Scheme. It is aimed at promoting education in schools on the subjects environment, social justice and human rights.
