Communities for change: Laying the Grassroots Foundation for Political Reform in FATA

Germany pursues its funding of 'Communities for Change in FATA' with the Pakistani non-governmental organization "Community Appraisal and Motivation Programme" (CAMP) in 2012 with EURO 225,000 .-- (approx. PKR 26 million). The programme has been initiated by CAMP in May 2009.

The objective of the project is to empower the people of the federally-administered tribal areas (FATA) to claim and defend their social, political and economic rights, as well as actively develop resilience to sectarian and inter-tribal conflict and influences.

The project
aims to strengthen a sustained network of Community Based Organisations of local leadership in FATA, and build grassroots level capacity to tackle issues that are contributing to poor governance, underdevelopment, radicalization, deteriorating law & order, and violation of human rights, through partnership and networks.
