Please note:

Processing time is of minimum 14 weekdays / working days

All applicants have to appear personally, unless they belong to the following category:

Travellers

- who have been in the possession of at least two valid Schengen visa (category C, issued by any Schengen state) within the past 24 months and have used them in a lawful manner or

- who have been in the possession of a Schengen visa with a validity of a year or several years in the past (24 months time limit does not apply in this case) and have used them in a lawful manner

are exempted from a personal appearance at the visa section. They can send a person of trust with their application form and the required documents. These documents need to be complete.

Companies should send their employees in a group to apply for the visa.

Visa applications can be submitted weeks ahead of travel date. Dates of validity on the visa sticker will be according to the dates as per application and travel health insurance.

Spouses (not involved in the business) accompanying their partners on a business trip / to a trade fair have to fulfill the requirements as for a tourist.

Original passports can be withdrawn after submission of application for travels into countries other than Schengen States during the processing time.

No other charges except the visa fee is applicable. This requirement sheet is free of charge.

Visa applications of minors need to include the written consent of their parents/custodians.

Important note !

Application forms are also available at the visa section - free of charge. Persons outside the visa section offering their services for the visa procedure neither work for nor work with the consent of the visa section. In case these persons do promise any favour regarding the issuance of a visa, please report to the visa officer at the counter.

Pakistani companies that haven't contacted the Embassy in the past and that are engaged in business with companies in Germany are invited to inform the Economic Section at the German Embassy about their activities.

All documents need to be presented in original and in copies.

Copies of your application have to be:

- in Din A4 size
- complete
- readable
- not (!) stapled

The German Missions reserve the right to request additional documents

Applications will only be accepted and processed after the submission of all required documents - failure to do so will result in the refusal of the visa.

Applicants are kindly asked to note that compliance with the afore mentioned conditions does not automatically guarantee that a visa will be issued.

Even with a valid visa, the competent German border authorities may refuse entry into the territory of Germany. In such cases, the Government of Germany accepts no liability.

Visa Fees

For applications at the Embassy Islamabad, please note that at the time of application an amount of 500,- PKR is due for returning the passports through a courier service. 
While submitting the application, you will be given a pay slip. Please take this slip to the Standard Chartered Bank, Diplomatic Enclave Branch only, and pay the visa fee. The bank will report your payment to the Embassy. A fee of 500,- PKR will be levied by the bank.

For applications at the Consulate General Karachi, please note that the visa fee (equivalent in PKR) has to be paid in CASH at time of submission.
