Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus Lahore
The Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus is a Goethe-Zentrum and works closely together with the Goethe-Institut Karachi of which it is the only partner in Pakistan. Since January 1, 2005, the Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus shares its premises with the Alliance Francaise Lahore (AF) and together we regularly organise joint cultural events.

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the largest funding organisation in the world supporting the international exchange of students and scholars. The Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit (FNF) is committed to a peaceful and progressive Pakistan since 1986. The German semi-governmental non-profit organisation was founded in 1958: The first President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Theodor Heuss (1884–1963), established the “Foundation for Freedom” and named it after his mentor Friedrich Naumann (1860–1919), a German liberal philosopher and politician. FNF is committed to Liberal Democracy, Human and Civic rights, Good Governance incl. Rule of Law as well as Free Market Economy. FNF roots its efforts in the philosophy of enlightenment or liberalism which means to empower the individual with the utmost freedom possible without harming others. Therefore, equal rights regardless a personal background – be it nationality, age, gender, ethnicity or religion – as well as self- and social responsibility are a precondition.
